Sonic Gold Underlay is 1m wide and comes in rolls of 15m2 and is 5mm thick. Our Simple to use acoustic underlay is perfect for use underneath any floating floor installation across all types of sub-floor.

Our Sonic Acoustic Gold underlay is specialised for sound reduction as it is compressed into a high density foam which combats the sound transition to rooms below and also prevents drum sound bouncing back into the room. With an impressive 22dB sound rating it is our highest graded sound reduction underlay, providing the added sound reduction that really makes a difference. At 22dB it also conforms to most building regulations which may need to be considered in apartment buildings.

Sonic Gold underlay is also combined with  a vapour barrier to help prevent any unwanted rising damp affecting the floor which means it can be used over concrete sub-floors.

An underlay must be used when the floating method of installation is used as it supports the joints of the floor prolonging the life of your flooring.
